Support the arts and community at SiNaCa Studios’ annual Ice Cream Social! Cool off for the summer while we cool down our furnace and empty it of molten glass to create your own one-of-a-kind glass sand casted keepsake. Select a glass bowl crafted by SiNaCa’s own local artists and enjoy ice cream!

This family friendly community fundraising event in the Near Southside Arts cultural district will commence at 11am with a smash and conclude at 3pm. Stop in anytime to enjoy a scoop of ice cream and take in the sights and sounds of the final day of hot shop activity for the summer.  Proceeds benefit SiNaCa Studios by servicing our furnace with needed upgrades and helping us maintain our historic building on Magnolia Avenue.

Each year, SiNaCa’s resident artists create a one-of-a-kind glass piggy bank shaped like a cold treat, from dip cones to bomb pops. (Join us for Open Studios night on May 8th, 2026, as the SiNaCa team creates this year’s cold treat) All year long, the piggy bank is used to collect donations for SiNaCa Studios. Then, on Ice Cream Social day, raffle tickets are sold, and one lucky person gets to “smash the bank”, shattering the piggy bank and releasing all the donations. Purchase a raffle ticket to see if you are the lucky winner who gets to break the piggy bank!

If you can’t make it to the social but would like to donate to help us with needed equipment updates, you can click the “Donate” button to still contribute to SiNaCa.

Event is free to attend. Ice Cream, Glass Bowls, Event Tees, and Sand Casting Experiences are available to purchase prior to and at the event.

All pre-purchased items will be ready for pick up the day of the event. The hand crafted glass bowls will be picked out on a first come basis, so get here early for the largest selection.
