  • Experience Glass Blowing: Step into the hot shop and work with molten glass at 2100°F to craft stunning items like a mini paperweight and a floptic bowl, vase, or tumbler.
  • Experience Flame Working: Shape clear and colored glass rods using an open torch to create seasonal items and colorful beads.
  • Experience Kiln Forming: Design and assemble your glass creations to be fused together in an electric kiln, creating items like a custom platter and a seasonal piece.

All items will be ready for pickup in the SiNaCa Studios gallery 5 business days after they’re made. For any questions about the pickup process, feel free to contact us at 817-899-0024.

The perfect class for your first experience working in a glass blowing studio. Participants are given the opportunity to work with our instructors to learn about the equipment, tools and materials used to transform raw glass into a memorable experience. When you are working in the hot shop (glass blowing studio), you are working with the glass in its molten state (2100°F). The process begins by taking a pipe and gathering the molten glass from the furnace and then forming and shaping it with tools and by blowing air into it.

In this 2-hour glass workshop, each participant will demonstrate the basic techniques of glass blowing to make at least two individual items. You will work with our instructors to select and add color to molten glass to create a one-of-a-kind mini paperweight and one additional item of your choice: a floptic bowl, table vase, or tumbler. Items created will be ready for pick up in the SiNaCa Studios gallery five business days after they are made.

You will work with our instructors to create a seasonal item out of borosilicate glass and a couple of colorful beads to string with Moretti-Effetre (soft) glass. Items created will be ready for pick up in the SiNaCa Studios gallery five business days after made.
