Lingzhi Wu

Born in Jingdezhen – the porcelain capital in China, Lingzhi Wu learned traditional ceramic techniques for several years when she was young. She later studied art theory, got PhD from the Arts & Design Academy of Tsinghua University, researched in Murano Italy as a visiting scholar, and participated in several glass-centric workshops in the United States of America. The learning experience in China, Italy and the U.S.A. made her obsessed with glass art and started to chase the lifelong dream of becoming an independent glass artist. In her studio, she likes to explore different ways of combining glass and other mediums, testing their possibilities and confinement, in order to show the nature beauty of the materials, enrich and extend the way of self-interpretation.
