Created during a live demonstration during ArtsGoggle at SiNaCa Studios in October 2024, this Sparkling Red Lagoon Set features two vibrant glass vessels that embody Clifton Crofford’s impressionistic approach to functional and sculptural forms. Each piece is crafted using layered fragments of colored glass—opaque and transparent frit—to create depth and movement.

• The first vase swirls with rich reds, purples, and blues, anchored by a clear base and finished with a smooth, flared rim.
• The second vase contrasts with a dynamic palette of blues, whites, and blacks, crowned by a jagged rim reminiscent of flower petals.

Together, they evoke the shimmer and motion of a lagoon at sunset—designed to hold flowers or stand alone as radiant centerpieces. Clifton hopes these vessels spark color and light in the spaces they occupy, offering both beauty and utility.

Clifton Crofford’s passion for glass began at UT Arlington, where he explored design through architecture, theater, and art. After helping develop a new 3D art facility, he co-founded a glassblowing studio in Dallas/Fort Worth. In 2007, Clifton and fellow alumni established SiNaCa Studios, which opened to the public in 2010. His work blends ancient and modern symbols, exploring themes of balance, growth, and transformation. Through glass, Clifton invites viewers to pause, reflect, and connect—bridging the fast pace of modern life with the timeless language of art.
