Green Bloom is a kiln formed glass piece that celebrates organic movement and layered texture. Created by Fort Worth-based artist Megan Sutton, the work features a vibrant palette of blues, yellows, and hints of green, assembled into a flowing, patterned design. The piece was crafted using murrini pulled from a vitrigraph kiln, which was then cut and carefully arranged to evoke the rhythm and complexity of natural forms. Wall mounting hardware is included.
The composition blends earthy tones with transparent sections, allowing light to pass through and illuminate the depth and detail of the pattern. The result is a sculptural surface that feels alive—shifting with light and echoing the layered beauty of nature.
Megan Sutton works primarily in kiln formed and sculpted glass, creating both functional and sculptural pieces. Her practice is deeply influenced by patterns in nature and the inherent qualities of glass as a medium. As an active educator and contributor to studio programming, Megan plays a vital role in Fort Worth’s glass art community.
“SiNaCa Studios has been a place of growth, connection, and creative challenge for me. Its programming has given me opportunities to teach, collaborate, and contribute to a larger creative community.
