This whimsical snow globe is the third in a series created during SiNaCa Studios’ December 2024 Open Studios demonstration. It’s a true celebration of collaborative artistry, combining the talents of three distinct glass studios:

• Glass Blowing Studio: Crafted the charming snowman with a black hat and red scarf, along with the festive green trees adorned with yellow and green decorations.
• Kiln Forming Studio: Designed the delicate snowflakes on the green base using layered powdered glass. They also created the chocolate bars and gingerbread figures.
• Flame Working Studio: Added the vibrant gumdrops and spiral cane “peppermints,” bringing a playful candy land feel to the scene.

To ensure structural integrity, all components were heated to 950ºF for secure attachment to the base without cracking. After a slow cooling process, a clear glass dome was affixed using glass-specific adhesive, and a large red ribbon wraps the base, enhancing its festive charm. It evokes a nostalgic holiday spirit, blending craftsmanship with seasonal whimsy.
